We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Metheringham area, supporting local waste collection services.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
- Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line with regulations.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to the public.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential.
- Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role).
- Strong team player with a positive attitude.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 0700 start time; averaging 8 hour shifts; 30 Min Breaks.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay for this position will be £14.50 per hour.
- Overtime/Bank Holidays paid at time and a half.
- You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.
- Long term, perm opportunities.
