Urgent! I am looking for Carers and Support staff in the Hucknall Area!

My client is looking for Care Assistants to cover sickness and holidays and fit into their established team of Staff. This large care home caters for Residential, Dementia care as well as Respite and Day Care. You will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living. You will also be expected to take part in the home’s daily activity sessions, entertain the residents enhancing their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, ensuring their comfort and dignity needs are met at all times.
• Follow their residents individualised care plans, reporting any issues immediately to the person in charge of the shift.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents a range of activities to enhance their daily lives.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a residential or elderly care setting is essential.
• A kind and caring attitude and highly motivated approach towards care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

For this role, it is essential that you have;

• At least months experience in a Care environment.
• An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service is an advantage. If you don’t, don’t worry we can help if you have the facility to pay for one upfront at the cost of £49.50.
• All relevant mandatory training in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to gain access to online training platforms.
• 2 years referenceable work experience

Shift Times are:-

• Nights – 2100 to 0700
• Other shifts are available on request.

The hourly rate starts at £13.99. Premium rates are paid for bank holidays and weekends.
