Responsibilities

  • Completing temperature controlled deliveries
  • Sealing and unsealing back doors
  • Monitoring the refrigeration unit
  • Reporting temperature issues to the depot
  • Trunking to RDC or NDC, no multi drop
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Supervising unloading/loading (no Manual Handling)
  • Maintaining delivery records

On an average day, you will be making 3-4 deliveries to RDCs.

Qualifications

  • A full UK Drivers Licence with a C+E entitlement.
  • A minimum of 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK.
  • A Digital Tacho Card (Digicard).
  • A valid Driver CPC Card.
  • A strong and coherent understanding of driver’s working hours and working time directive.
  • You must not have more than 6 points on your licence.

This is a temporary, but ongoing position. Monday to Friday work is available. Start times are between 0600 and 1000. Average daily hours are 48 hours per week. The Umbrella rate for this position is £19.88 standard and £26.43 overtime.
