Job Description

Looking for regular Class 1 work without the hassle of handballing? We’re recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for an established transport operation, offering ongoing trunking work, regular weekday shifts and regional and nationwide routes.

You’ll be responsible for completing depot-to-depot trunking runs, transporting goods safely between locations across regional and nationwide routes.

You’ll be driving curtain-sided trailers, with all loading and unloading handled by forklift. This means no manual handballing, allowing you to focus on driving safely and completing your allocated journeys efficiently.

Duration: This is an ongoing temporary position offering regular work for suitable drivers.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: The position pays £18.50 per hour, with the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days’ annual leave.

Working Hours: The role operates Monday to Friday, with early starts and regular daytime finishes. There is no weekend work, making this a great opportunity for drivers looking for a consistent working routine.

Experience & Qualifications

You must hold a current HGV Class 1 licence (Category C+E), a valid Digital Tachograph Card and a valid Driver CPC Card. Your licence must have been held for at least 12 months.

For insurance purposes, you must have no more than six penalty points, relating to minor offences only. Applicants must not have DR, DD, IN, CU or MS convictions.

You’ll also need to be reliable, safety-conscious and professional, with the ability to complete trunking routes independently.
