Class 2 - HGV Cat C driver

Overview

Immediate start work for HGV Class 2 drivers in Leicestershire. Supporting our client in Leicester, who are a general haulier, you will go out daily to deliver palletised goods to delivery points within a single post coded area. Some handball may be involved. You will be a professional driver who has excellent road and driving rules knowledge who is reliable. You can expect to complete around 12–15 deliveries per day. We are looking for someone who wants regular work, is reliable and a great team player. You will be good at communicating both verbally and written and have previous HGV Driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods to delivery points within a single postcode area in Leicestershire/Leicester.
• Complete around 12–15 deliveries per day.
• Assist with manual handling (handball) where required.
• Maintain professional standards, reliability, and punctuality.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Adhere to road rules and safe driving practices as a professional HGV driver.

Requirements

• HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Full UK Driving licence with Cat C entitlement
• Digi Taco
• CPC Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence

Monday to Friday work with start times from 8am. You will work around 40 – 45 hours per week.

Pay rate for this job is £14.00 per hour with an opportunity to work towards a permanent contract.

You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year pro rata.
