This newly extended care home is looking for enthusiastic Care Assistants to assist in the support of elderly people with Age Related Illnesses. You will be expected to take part in activities around the home and ensuring that the residents have a good quality of life. You will be attending to their activities of daily living and will be dealing with clients with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities related to age. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Daily tasks will include:
- Attend to client’s activities of daily living ensuring that they are hydrated and comfortable at all times.
- General Housekeeping duties around the home such as laundry and cleaning down after meals
- Observations of client’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s reporting systems
- Complying with health and safety at all times in a professional manner
For this role, you must have;
- A least 3 months experience in an Elderly Care environment
- A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service, if not we can perform a DBS on your behalf at a cost of £49.50
- Up to Date relevant mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Infection Control and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and ideally the certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
- Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years

This is an ongoing role for the successful candidates that has the potential to turn into a permanent role for the right person.
Shift times are:-
- Afternoons - 1400 to 2000
- Other shifts are available on request.
Rates of pay are £13.15 per hour. Other shifts are available at premium rates. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
