A well-established manufacturing business based in Burton upon Trent is looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-educated finance professional currently studying towards, or newly qualified in, AAT who is looking to develop their career within a supportive manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll gain exposure across:

  • Management accounts
  • Payroll
  • Reporting
  • Inventory
  • Budgeting
  • Finance projects including a future ERP implementation

The Role:

  • Month-end accounts preparation and journals
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Monthly reporting to Group
  • Maintaining Cap-Ex project ledger
  • Inventory reconciliations and costing analysis
  • Supporting payroll processing and pension administration
  • VAT returns preparation
  • Assisting with budgets and year-end audit
  • Supporting sales ledger, purchase ledger and cashbook functions
  • Supporting future ERP implementation projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree educated
  • Studying towards or newly AAT qualified
  • Experience within a finance team preparing monthly reporting
  • Confident Excel user
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Positive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
