Availability for a Senior Care Assistant within the Nottingham Area. We need an experienced Senior Care Assistant that will be able to assist an existing team within a medium sized home based in Eastwood.

Responsibilities

  • Providing the highest level of personal care and attention to the service users, following care plans carefully whilst ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
  • Ensuring adherence to all aspects of Health and Safety including COSHH, Food Hygiene and Infection control.
  • Administering medication to service users, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.
  • Liaising with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, this includes resident’s behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur in the course of day to day care.
  • Encourage, assist and support service users to participate in leisure activities, ensuring their social and emotional needs are met. This also includes escorting residents to outside appointments and leisure outings.
  • Responsible for undertaking light cleaning duties as needed and ensuring that the Home is kept clean, pleasant and welcoming at all times.

Qualifications

  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update system
  • NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Up to date mandatory training certificates
  • Full up-to-date CV
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a senior care assistant within a 20+ bed care home.
  • A referenceable work history
  • A bubbly and outgoing personality and a true passion to make the lives of those under your care as fulfilling as possible.
  • Previous experience with both Atlas eMAR and PCS is preferred but not essential.

Remuneration and Working Hours

  • This role offers ongoing opportunities for the right candidate.
  • Full and part time roles available with the shift hours ranging from 6:45 to 22:15.
  • You will be paid £14.00 to £15.00 per hour, depending on the hours worked.
  • You will accrue up to 28 days holiday pay starting from your first shift.
