We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our client based in Milton Keynes.
Hours of work: 8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3.30pm Friday.
This is a key role for the business where you will be the focal point for Quality Control and Quality Assurance. You will have a small number of direct reports and will also have responsibility for hiring and training new employees as well as appraisals and other employee related matters.
Key responsibilities overview:
- Company contact for external auditing
- Contract reviews
- ISO9001; AS9100 and NADCAP approvals as well as responsibilities in accordance with these standards
- Recording and reporting data as well as analysing, including information regarding quality, reliability and expectancy of the finished product
- Working in partnership with production and other departments
- Working with suppliers to ensure the quality of their product including testing
- Designing and controlling training programs
- Investigating any complaints
- Some travel involved to meet with suppliers and customers.
Our client is looking for the following skills and experience:
- Consistent background within Quality Management
- A bachelor’s degree or a relevant qualification in combination with experience
- Thorough knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100
- Good knowledge of NADCAP and preferably an understanding of ISO13485
- Ideally a member of Institute of Assurance
- Ability to interpret a large variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram, along with abstract and concrete variables
- Internal/external Auditing
- Knowledge of tools such as Contract Review, ERP, MRP, Work Orders and Work To Lists
- Produce documents such as FAIRS, PPAPS and Quality Plans
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
