We are looking for an experienced and proactive Paralegal to join a highly regarded Real Estate – Telecoms Team, in a prestigious law firm based in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time, office-based role, and the successful candidate will ideally be available to attend the Milton Keynes office five days a week. Occasional travel to our other office locations may be required, as directed by your manager.
This is a great opportunity to work with major clients on a diverse range of property matters in the fast-paced and growing telecoms sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Paralegal in our Telecoms Real Estate Team, your role will include:
– Managing your own caseload across a wide range of property transactions including leasehold and freehold acquisitions, deeds of variation, surrenders, assignments, licences, easements and more.
– Drafting and negotiating legal documents using precedent templates or from heads of terms.
– Reviewing and negotiating documents produced by other legal professionals.
– Conducting title investigations and advising on defects or risks.
– Liaising professionally with clients, surveyors, and external legal representatives.
– Ensuring compliance with client-specific internal procedures and systems.
– Handling SDLT/LTT and HMLR submissions, as appropriate.
– Supporting project work and contributing to team meetings, secondments, and client training sessions where required.
Key Knowledge Areas
– Commercial property and landlord & tenant law.
– Drafting leases, transfer deeds, and a range of supplemental property documentation.
– Working with registered and unregistered land.
What We-re Looking For
– Previous Commercial Property experience is essential.
– Legal qualifications such as Law Degree, Paralegal certification, or CILEX are desirable but not essential.
– Strong legal drafting and proof-reading skills.
– Competence with Microsoft Office and online legal systems or document management portals.
