We’re looking for a commercially sharp, hands-on Finance Manager who wants more than just month-end reporting. This is a key leadership role within a fast-moving manufacturing and logistics group where finance is central to operational success. You’ll lead a small team, partner closely with production and commercial colleagues, and play a pivotal role in driving performance, improving systems, and strengthening financial control.

You’ll take ownership of the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and meaningful commercial insight.
You’ll lead:
- Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
- Cashflow management and working capital performance
- Payroll, pensions and statutory compliance
- Cost accounting, production analysis and margin improvement
- System optimisation (Microsoft Business Central)
- Audit preparation and statutory reporting
This is a hands-on role. You’ll roll up your sleeves when needed, while also stepping back to analyse trends, improve processes and support strategic decisions.
What We’re Looking ForWe want someone who:
- Ideally has strong experience in manufacturing and logistics
- Is confident across end-to-end finance in an SME environment
- Ideally has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Business Central
- Is AAT / ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or highly experienced
- Understands cost structures, stock, production variances and operational finance
- Can communicate financial insight clearly to non-finance teams
- Enjoys improving systems and reducing manual processes
- Is driven, resilient and solutions-focused
Advanced Excel skills are essential.
