As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide temporary support to a small finance team, assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, and basic reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and supporting cost control.
It is a hands-on position where prior experience will be highly beneficial. While payroll is not part of the core responsibilities, experience with Sage 50 Payroll would be an advantage and may be useful if you are interested in supporting this area. The company uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central so previous experience would be beneficial for a quicker start, though not essential, as full training will be provided. However, you must be comfortable learning new computer systems quickly.
Duties to include:
- All duties associated with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform purchase ledger transactions within the required deadlines
- Perform sales ledger transactions within the required deadlines
- Reconciling supplier accounts and statements
- Process, proforma invoices and maintain supplier records
- Participate in the closure of monthly ledgers
- Participate in processing month end and cash receipt journals
- To assist with processing incoming cash receipts
- Assist and participate in the accurate and timely reporting of monthly accounts
- Populate and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly KPI information
- Assist with credit control duties
