A unique opportunity has arisen for a Management couple to take on the roles of General Manager and Head Chef at this beautiful, quintessentially British pub located in the stunning Gloucestershire countryside. The Glasshouse Inn at May Hill is a charming, traditional ‘roses around the door’ pub renowned for its food and hospitality. The pub offers cosy rooms and roaring fires in the winter months, a beautiful garden in the summer, along with lodges and cabins for guests wishing to stay and explore the Royal Forest of Dean.
What are we looking for?
- A couple capable of working under pressure and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain the excellent reputation for food and hospitality.
- Providing exceptional customer care and managing the smooth day-to-day operations of the kitchen and front of house.
- Managing key performance indicators including budgets, wastage, and gross profit margins.
- Self-driven with determination to push the business to its full potential.
- Previous experience in running a high-level food establishment.
- Experience managing accommodation booking systems.
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety.
- The couple should include one Chef and one General Manager.
- Hands-on leadership, leading by example, and being effective team leaders.
