We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Chef to join the existing kitchen team at The White Hart, Broadoak, Newnham on Severn, Glos, GL14 1JB. This role will be under the apprenticeship scheme run by HIIT Training to gain a qualification and continue your education. Alternatively, if you are already at catering college or school and wish to work in a kitchen around your other studies that’s fine with us too!
You will perform basic food preparation and cooking tasks in different sections of the kitchen, supervised by our chef. As an apprentice chef, your role is to support the chef keep the kitchen running smoothly. If you want to become a head chef one day, it's a great way of learning every aspect of the trade, getting lots of first-hand experience, and figuring out how the different sections of a restaurant work together.
As apprentice chef you will:
- Be responsible for helping to keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
- Washing up and loading up the dishwasher.
- Measure and prepare ingredients.
- Help with deliveries.
- Manage stock rotation.
