Freight Operations Coordinator responsible for assisting & managing the day-to-day operations within the various Freight Forwarding Departments of Quality Freight. The role is based in our Belfast office. The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative as well as integrating themselves with other team members, customers & sub-contractors. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service and a natural communicator.
You will be part of a dynamic team, supporting customers throughout their shipment journey, solving problems before they arise, and making sure every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:- Accepting & processing bookings, with continuous monitoring and adjustments where required.
- Invoicing, filing & general administrative duties carried out within time frame requirements & with high level of accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to react to problems in a time efficient manner.
- An ability to demonstrate proven experience in a similar role an advantage.
- Experience in EU Road Freight & Ocean Freight desirable, including import & export as well as LCL and EU Groupage services.
- Customer service focused with excellent communication skills; this role involves the maintenance of close relationships with customers and sub-contractors.
- Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages & ability to learn online software platforms.
- Can do attitude.
- Customs experience favourable, but not a requirement.
