Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our nightshift team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping and receiving, and inventory control. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Shifts are between 8.30pm - 5.30am - 5 shifts from Sunday - Friday
Duties
- Handle materials with care and ensure proper storage within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Engage in picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain organised stock areas by stocking shelves and ensuring products are easily accessible.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company standards before dispatch.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Load and unload goods from vans and lorries, ensuring safe handling of all materials.
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with forklift operation; certification is an advantage.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Proficient in picking and packing techniques to ensure order accuracy.
