This is an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities or property management experience who wants to build a long-term career in FM. This role has hybrid working and occasional site visits. As Assistant Facilities Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of multiple properties, ensuring the smooth delivery of both hard and soft services. You’ll work closely with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver a best-in-class FM service while gaining exposure to budgets, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the management of FM services across a diverse property portfolio.
- Monitoring and supporting statutory compliance (targeting above 95%).
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and tenants to resolve issues and ensure KPIs are met.
- Conducting monthly site inspections and coordinating emergency procedures.
- Supporting service charge budget preparation and cost management.
- Helping deliver sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Senior FM.
- Acting as a point of escalation for Helpdesk queries.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- At least 2 years experience in Facilities Management or property administration.
- Knowledge of H&S processes (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent desirable).
- Strong IT skills (MS Office essential; QUBE, eLogbook, PRISM, or similar systems an advantage).
- A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
- A proactive, detail-focused professional with the ability to manage their own workload.
- Interest in sustainability and a willingness to grow through IOSH/IWFM development.
