About our client
Our client, a leading investor in software and services businesses globally, is looking for an ESG Specialist to join its ESG team on a 12-month contract and contribute to its market-leading ESG strategy and programme.
What the job involves
- The role is a 12-month full-time contract within the ESG team.
- The candidate will play a key role in delivering against our ESG strategy, with a key focus on Hg's ESG compliance requirements.
- Lead efforts regarding global ESG regulatory developments and updates.
- Ensure the firm is complying with relevant legislations such as CSRD, TCFD, SFDR, SECR, MSA, ESOS, EU taxonomy, etc.
- Prepare for the 2025 TCFD reporting by updating any internal processes and reporting structures required to meet the FCA requirements.
- Oversee the accurate and timely completion of ESG reporting and/or filings and assist with the production of ESG disclosures.
- Support the creation of high-quality external and internal reports.
Who we are looking for
- Experience in a sustainability role in the industry or in a consultancy capacity.
- Knowledge of the private equity industry required.
- Experience in implementing ESG strategies and initiatives and experience in external reporting on ESG-related matters.
- Knowledge and experience working on ESG regulations, such as TCFD, SFDR, and CSRD.
- Candidates with three or more years of experience reviewing and assessing EU and/or UK ESG regulations and working within ESG, Compliance, or Legal functions within private equity companies or similar will be a distinct advantage.
- Someone who is able to hit the ground running and work with limited supervision.
- Driven, motivated, and independent individual with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
