THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 12 MONTHS.

The Condition Monitoring Analytics Engineer will be part of the global Expert Services team, who provide specialist knowledge, experience and expertise on high voltage (HV) assets and condition monitoring to internal and external customers. All training and information will be made available.

The Applicant Will Gain Knowledge Of:

  • The functioning and failure mechanisms of GIS and Transformers.
  • Partial Discharge (PD).
  • Continuous UHF PD Monitoring (PDM).
  • Using Qualitrol PDM systems.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Good Degree in numerate discipline. Engineering preferred but all relevant experience considered.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Good report writing abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents.
  • Ability to locate and extract knowledge from relevant resources.
  • Ability to learn.

Responsibilities:

The main role is to use the PDM system software to examine and interpret the PD signals collected by our monitoring systems on GIS and Transformers. The applicant will compile technical condition monitoring reports for industry customers advising them of the current state of their assets. The expectation is not that the applicant already knows everything, but that they are comfortable acquiring new knowledge and applying it.
