Role Description
A Production Operative will be involved in the project and flow sides of the business as required, supporting operations according to business needs.
Essential Duties (not exhaustive)
- Ensure own and fellow team members’ safety is a priority;
- Work to defined health and safety requirements, support safety‑led initiatives;
- Assembly of mechanical metalwork and product components;
- Preparation and termination of wiring and read from electrical schematic drawings;
- Work to defined standard work requirements and pack equipment as instructed;
- Adhere to quality standards and PPE/work wear requirements;
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives;
- Assemble various sub‑assemblies for production and inspect parts for use on production;
- Maintain a clean and tidy working area;
- Flexible approach to tasks in a busy working environment, set timescales and achieve deadlines;
- Work efficiently as part of a team.
Essential Criteria, Applicants Must Be Able To Demonstrate
- 1 year of experience in electrical and mechanical assembly in a manufacturing/production environment;
- Proficient in MS Office and other computer software systems;
- Experience working from electrical schematic drawings;
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Relevant experience using a variety of hand, power and air tools;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team, using initiative.
This role requires working on foot for extended periods of time.
