Role Description

A Production Operative will be involved in the project and flow sides of the business as required, supporting operations according to business needs.

Essential Duties (not exhaustive)

  • Ensure own and fellow team members’ safety is a priority;
  • Work to defined health and safety requirements, support safety‑led initiatives;
  • Assembly of mechanical metalwork and product components;
  • Preparation and termination of wiring and read from electrical schematic drawings;
  • Work to defined standard work requirements and pack equipment as instructed;
  • Adhere to quality standards and PPE/work wear requirements;
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives;
  • Assemble various sub‑assemblies for production and inspect parts for use on production;
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area;
  • Flexible approach to tasks in a busy working environment, set timescales and achieve deadlines;
  • Work efficiently as part of a team.

Essential Criteria, Applicants Must Be Able To Demonstrate

  • 1 year of experience in electrical and mechanical assembly in a manufacturing/production environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office and other computer software systems;
  • Experience working from electrical schematic drawings;
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Relevant experience using a variety of hand, power and air tools;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team, using initiative.

This role requires working on foot for extended periods of time.
