Role: R&D Program Manager
Location: Hybrid in Glasgow, Scotland, with WFH options. Fully remote consideration in UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, or Poland, with monthly travel to Glasgow.

Your Impact
The Program Manager will bring new products/systems from strategic identification through commercialization and production. They will work with engineering teams to align on scope, manage risks, handle project issues, communicate across functions, and lead the project team to success using Fortive Business Systems (FBS).
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:
- Use agile practices and Scrum framework to deliver critical customer-facing, enterprise system solutions.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver top-notch solutions to our global customers while building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization.
- Understand customer requirements and manage risks while controlling project timelines.
- Support and emphasize the importance of project documentation.
- Present project status to executive leadership.
- Establish project rules, methodologies, and budget control.
- Plan for quality assurance and organizational change.
- Report to PMO Director on successes, areas for improvement, and at-risk programs for corrective action.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Science field
- Extensive experience as an engineering Program Manager with comprehensive understanding of Project Management processes at the platform level.
- Knowledge of lean product development and systems development practices and lifecycles.
- Ability to lead and collaborate within multi-functional, multi-time zone teams.
- Interest in working within a structured, process-driven, continuous improvement organization.
- Experience with Jira and Microsoft Suite, including MS Project.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
