Role: R&D Program Manager
Location: Glasgow, Scotland. Hybrid WFH and onsite. Fully remote options available in UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, or Poland. Remote candidates must be willing to travel to Glasgow once per month.

Your Impact
The Program Manager will oversee bringing new products/systems from strategic identification to commercialization and production. Responsibilities include aligning with engineering teams on scope, managing risks, handling project issues, communicating across functions, and leading project teams using Fortive Business Systems (FBS).
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying agile practices and Scrum framework for delivering customer-facing enterprise solutions.
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver solutions globally and maintaining strong relationships across the organization.
- Understanding customer requirements, managing risks, and controlling project timelines.
- Supporting project documentation and reporting.
- Presenting project status to executive leadership.
- Establishing project rules, methodologies, and budgets.
- Planning quality assurance and organizational change initiatives.
- Reporting to the PMO Director on project successes, improvements, and risks for corrective actions.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Science field.
- Extensive experience as an engineering Program Manager with comprehensive knowledge of Project Management processes at the platform level.
- Understanding of lean product development, systems development practices, and lifecycles.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with multi-time zone teams.
- A desire to work in a structured, process-driven, and continuous improvement environment.
- Experience with Jira, MS Office Suite, including MS Project.
- Strong skills in producing high-quality reports and presentations.
