We are looking for a solution-focused Buyer with a continuous improvement mindset, who values teamwork and a collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Ensures that all goods, supplies, and inventory needed for the business to operate are ordered and kept in stock.
- Controls inventory levels, quality and costs associated with purchasing these items.
- Vendor management (on-time delivery, spend, quotes, quality, projects, and supply chain issues).
- Supply chain management (risk management, managing issues in the market, lead time, obsolescence, and order quantity management).
- New product implementation (purchasing tasks and supply chain management).
- Inventory and cost management (making sure we are not paying too much, managing overstock and obsolete products, and creating projects to drive savings in the business).
- Leading sustainability initiatives within the procurement process, including sourcing eco-friendly materials and evaluating suppliers' environmental impact.
- Participates in negotiating logistics management and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.
- Participates in the supplier selection process, including conducting due diligence, evaluating bids, and making quality, price and capability recommendations.
- Knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Electronics and metalwork sourcing knowledge.
- Manufacturing quality.
- Low-cost region sourcing knowledge.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Vendor and contract management.
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Office packages.
- Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvements.
- CIPS qualification advantageous but not essential.

- Full time, set schedule: Working at Qualitrol, you will have a regular Monday to Friday 37.5-hour work week working Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-13:30.
