About the RoleQualityAI is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join a Digital Assurance & Productivity team supporting a leading UK banking organisation.The role will focus on designing, developing and maintaining automated testing solutions and frameworks, helping to improve test coverage, quality and delivery across a range of technology platforms.You’ll work closely with developers, analysts and business stakeholders within an Agile environment, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the organisation’s automation strategy and tooling.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures and investigate defects.Contribute to the development and improvement of automation frameworks, tools and processes.Support the implementation of effective testing strategies across applications and services.Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, efficiency and reliability.Maintain clear documentation around test automation, frameworks and processes.Work collaboratively within an Agile delivery environment.Contribute to continuous improvement across the wider testing and quality engineering function.Required Skills & ExperienceEssentialStrong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.SeleniumKarateSOAP UIPostmanProgramming/scripting experience using Python, Java or similar.Experience working within an Agile environment.Test data management/tools.Performance testing.Security testing.API and integration testing.Automated regression testing and framework development.Desirable ExperienceKnowledge of Kafka, IBM MQ or ACE.Understanding of middleware and message queuing technologies.Knowledge of software architecture technologies such as XBRL and HTML.Previous experience within banking or financial services.Understanding of regulatory requirements and financial systems.Working ArrangementThe role is available in Leeds or London and operates on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to work from the office approximately 50% of the time.The organisation supports flexible working arrangements, including flexibility around start and finish times and how office attendance is managed across the month.About QualityAIQualityAI (formerly Qualitest) is a global technology and quality engineering consultancy supporting some of the world's leading organisations across software quality, AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation.This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment and play a key role in improving automated testing capabilities across a major UK banking organisation.
