Teaching Assistant - Year 2

With an immediate start, a primary setting in South Leeds are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant work in their Year 2 class.

The school itself is a 1-form entry primary school that benefits from excellent public transport links both into and out of the city centre.

Ideally, applicants will have already gained some experience working within a KS1 class.

Duties of the role

• Leading small group interventions
• 1:1 Phonics support
• Preparing resources
• Creating displays
• Supporting learners with Special Educational Needs
• Managing behaviour within the classroom

What you will need

• A range of behaviour management techniques
• To have worked with learners with a range of needs
• The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
• Experience working within a primary school or nursery
