Sen Teacher

SEN Teacher required to start in September in a SEN School located in Southwark.

Key Details:

• Must hold QTS
• Experience working with Special Educational Needs is essential

The role involves teaching classes of mixed ages, planning and delivering lessons while monitoring student progress. You will be working with students with profound multiple learning difficulties and must have strong Special Educational Needs experience. As a SEN Teacher, you should be approachable, nurturing, and confident, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. You will work in line with students' Educational Healthcare Plans and closely with the SENCO, adapting lesson plans to fit individual needs and demonstrating strong curriculum knowledge.

The school caters for a range of SEN students aged 11-19 years old and is committed to continual improvement and high-quality education within an open and welcoming environment. The multidisciplinary team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and special school support assistants, all working cooperatively with the teaching staff to meet the individual needs of the students.
