Qualified Science Teacher (ECT\’s Welcome to apply) Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2025 Location: Lewisham, South East London About the Role: We are looking to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive science department at a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Lewisham . This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to inspire the next generation of scientists across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured Science lessons Teach across the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) in line with the National Curriculum Use data and assessment effectively to monitor progress and support all learners Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve outcomes The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Science degree Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential) Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning A genuine enthusiasm for science and a desire to ignite that passion in students What The School Offers: A welcoming and inclusive school community A well-resourced Science department with modern facilities Opportunities for career progression and professional development Strong leadership support and mentoring for early career teachers Inner London salary weighting #J-18808-Ljbffr
