I am currently working with this secondary school in Newham who are looking to appoint a qualified Geography Teacher to join them ASAP teaching up to GCSE. The school are looking for someone who can help students gain a greater understanding of human and physical Geography. The school are keen to encourage their students to learn about people and their societies, economics, cultures and the environment plus the world around them. The successful teacher will teach students aged 11-16.

This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Newham caters to students between the ages 11 and 16 with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school has a reputation for looking after staff where a number of schemes are in place to support a better work-life balance. The school supports each member of staff with a lower than average teaching load where each teacher is treated as a specialist and isn’t required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time-efficient allowing teachers to focus on other aspects of teaching and learning.
