Qualiteach Yorkshire are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher for a school in Leeds. This may include working with children with moderate and complex learning needs. The setting is a specialist SEN school who are looking for someone with a range of experience to join their team ASAP.
The Role:
- Can involve working with children on a 1:1 and group basis who have a variety of needs, tailoring learning to suit them
- Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all children and staff, supporting challenging behaviour and SEN requirements
- Following care plans, EHCP’s, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents where necessary
- Using a holistic approach within a multi-disciplinary team of specialists
- Delivering appropriate lessons and collaborating with skilled Teaching Assistants to help you
What you will need:
- Experience of working with children who have complex needs
- A willingness to ‘jump in’ and help where necessary
- Being a positive role model and influence
- The ability to support challenging behaviour, encourage independence and be patient and willing to build long lasting relationships with pupils
- Have a good awareness of safeguarding procedures
- Be confident to take lead in a busy classroom
