We are seeking an inspiring History Teacher to join our secondary academy and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages. You will bring the past to life, developing students' understanding of key historical events, themes, and perspectives while encouraging critical thinking and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching, and the ability to motivate learners of all abilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative humanities department, contribute to enrichment activities such as trips and projects, and support students in achieving their full potential in History.

This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Newham caters to students between the ages 11 and 16 with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school has a reputation for looking after staff with a number of schemes in place to support a better work-life balance. The school supports each member of staff with lower than average teaching loads, where each teacher is treated as a specialist and isn’t required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly, including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time-efficient, allowing teachers to focus on other aspects of teaching and learning.
