We are currently looking for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Islington for the full academic year.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Year 6 class teacher, supporting pupils with their learning and helping them stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.
You will:
- Support pupils with their day-to-day learning
- Work with children on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Help with literacy, maths and SATs preparation
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and good classroom routines
- Help pupils build confidence and independence
- Assist the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher
