About the role - Welfare Officer

We are seeking a caring and organised Welfare Officer to join a secondary academy and support the health, wellbeing, and safeguarding of students. You will provide first aid, respond to medical and welfare needs, maintain accurate records, and liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies where required. The role also involves promoting attendance, supporting students' emotional wellbeing, and contributing to a safe, inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in a school or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
