A well-established mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Harrow is looking to appoint a committed Pastoral Support Tutor to join its dedicated pastoral team from September on a long-term basis. As the successful Pastoral Support Tutor, you will provide day-to-day pastoral support for students across KS3 and KS4, helping them overcome personal, behavioural and emotional challenges that may impact their education.
You will work closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year and parents to improve attendance, behaviour and engagement, deliver mentoring sessions, monitor student progress and contribute to creating a positive and supportive school culture. The role requires someone who can build trusting relationships with students while maintaining high expectations and promoting positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people in a school, mentoring, pastoral or youth work setting. You will possess excellent communication skills, remain calm under pressure and have a genuine passion for supporting students to succeed both academically and personally.
