The Position - LSA

You will be supporting children aged 3-11 years old, including pupils with ASD, complex needs and communication difficulties. Many of the children you will be supporting are non-verbal and require additional support with communication, learning, sensory regulation, social interaction and independence. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day. The successful LSA will provide both one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and participate in classroom activities. You will also support pupils with their emotional and sensory regulation, communication and social development. Experience working with children with ASD and complex needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or other alternative communication strategies would be advantageous. However, candidates with strong SEN experience and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs will also be considered.
