About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School, you will provide dedicated support to pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, non-verbal communication needs, and extreme behaviour. The successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will help pupils access learning in a safe, structured, and positive environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning, emotional regulation, communication, and social development. The 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant must remain calm during challenging situations, maintain clear boundaries, and use positive reinforcement. The role requires a proactive and vigilant 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who can respond quickly to dysregulation and follow safeguarding procedures.
