SEMH Learning Support Assistant - Southwark - PRU / Alternative Provision - £95-£115 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour required. Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision desirable. Must be confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation support. Required full time ASAP.

Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and engage with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour strategies, using de-escalation techniques, supporting emotional wellbeing and contributing to a structured and supportive learning environment.
This pupil referral unit is located in the London Borough of Southwark and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station. The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, many with SEMH needs and behavioural barriers to learning. The school offers personalised learning, strong pastoral support and clear reintegration pathways. The school was judged 'Good' at its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2023.
