A compassionate and proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant is sought to support pupils aged 4-19 within a specialist SEN setting. You will work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, physical disabilities and medical needs.
The role involves:
- Supporting pupils to access learning
- Assisting with communication using alternative communication methods
- Promoting independence
- Providing personal care where required
- Helping pupils achieve the outcomes outlined in their EHCPs
