A qualified English Teacher looking to work within a specialist SEN setting. Experience teaching English Language and Literature to pupils with additional or complex needs is required. The role involves:
- Teaching pupils aged 11-19 within a specialist SEN setting.
- Delivering engaging and differentiated English Language and Literature lessons tailored to meet a range of learning needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties and associated communication needs.
- Adapting the curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes.
- Developing pupils' literacy, communication and functional English skills.
- Monitoring progress and creating a structured and supportive learning environment where every student can achieve their potential.
- Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standard of support.
