EYFS Teaching Assistant - The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children within Nursery or Reception.

You will help deliver engaging activities that promote children's curiosity, confidence, and independence while ensuring their individual needs are met.

Your responsibilities will include supporting children's learning through structured play, assisting with phonics and early maths activities, promoting positive behaviour, preparing classroom resources, and contributing to observations and assessments in line with the EYFS Framework.

You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide every child with the best possible start to their education.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, caring, and proactive, with a genuine passion for Early Years education.

Previous experience in an EYFS setting is desirable, and a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare would be beneficial.
