Qualiteach are currently working with a specialist SEN school in Leeds that is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive setting that caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH and communication difficulties. The school is committed to providing a structured, nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining high standards of behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support pupils with additional needs to access learning effectively
  • Ensure work is completed in line with teacher expectations
  • Follow school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and engagement
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience working within a school setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education or a related field
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A confident, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
