Pastoral Support Tutor required for the London Borough of Harrow for a long-term role starting in September. The role involves supporting students across KS3 and KS4 with their behaviour, wellbeing, and personal development. Previous school-based or youth support experience is preferred.
As a Pastoral Support Tutor, you will provide day-to-day pastoral support for students, helping them overcome personal, behavioural, and emotional challenges that may impact their education. You will work closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year, and parents to improve attendance, behaviour, and engagement, deliver mentoring sessions, monitor student progress, and contribute to creating a positive and supportive school culture.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people in a school, mentoring, pastoral, or youth work setting. You will possess excellent communication skills, remain calm under pressure, and have a genuine passion for supporting students to succeed both academically and personally.
