The Role - Graduate Teaching Assistant
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Harrow is seeking to appoint a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its support team from September on a long-term basis.
As the successful Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom and small-group support to help students access the curriculum, develop their confidence and make positive progress. You will work alongside classroom teachers, support students with their learning and encourage positive engagement and independence.
A degree is essential for this position. Previous experience working within a school or educational setting would be desirable but is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment.
Experience or an interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs would also be advantageous, including students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, MLD or Speech and Language needs.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, reliable and proactive, with a genuine desire to support young people and develop their own experience within education. xgikmsk
