The Position:
- Qualiteach are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with autism who is non-verbal.
- The role involves providing consistent, compassionate support to enable access to learning, communication, and social interaction throughout the school day.
- You must be confident using visual supports, structured routines, and sensory strategies, and able to work calmly under pressure.
- Experience supporting pupils with autism is essential.
- Knowledge or experience of Makaton would be highly desirable.
- You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement personalised targets and support independence, wellbeing, and progress for the successful candidate.

- The ideal candidate must be flexible with working in different year groups; however, the role is in Year 5.
