The Investor Servicing team delivers an execution-only investment service, building lasting client relationships through a combination of digital, telephone, and face-to-face interactions.
Purpose of the Role
The Wealth Relationship Manager is responsible for proactively supporting, guiding, retaining, and developing a portfolio of investors with assets exceeding £250k. The role requires an entrepreneurial approach to identify and develop new investors and support the growth of assets under management. This is a client-facing role focused on relationship management, retention, and asset growth. It requires a mix of sales, coaching, relationship-building, networking, and time-management skills. Success in the role will depend on strong collaboration with internal teams and the ability to coach and develop junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a personalised service to manage, guide, retain, and develop new and existing investors.
- Take responsibility for the retention and growth of a portfolio of high-value clients.
- Conduct guidance consultations on portfolio planning and asset allocation using internal tools and resources.
- Support new investors in onboarding and using the firm’s wealth management services.
- Deliver outstanding customer service across all interactions.
- Identify opportunities to gather additional client assets.
- Promote relevant products and services to generate new business.
- Maintain activity and performance records.
- Encourage clients to utilise digital channels.
- Support and develop telephone and service teams to improve processes and lead generation.
- Ensure timely resolution of client issues.
Risk Management
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of all client interactions.
- Demonstrate strong personal and team compliance standards.
- Maintain appropriate competence levels through continuing professional development.
- Complete all required training.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven financial services sales and service experience, ideally in retail or large-book client management.
- Experience within a wealth management environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated coaching and development skills.
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients.
- Level 4 qualification (RDR compliant) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of risk management and compliance.
- Good investment and industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
