MHP Food UK is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import & Logistics Coordinator to support the efficient management of import operations and logistics processes. This role is central to ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, external partners, and service providers, while ensuring full compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Higher education qualification (preferred)
  • Experience working in a multicultural, international environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous
  • Experience in import/export operations, ideally within meat or food products
  • Solid understanding of UK and international logistics processes

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communication across logistics, sales, import, and finance teams
  • Process orders, manage documentation, and confirm deliveries in SAP
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including transport bookings, cold store slots, and customer deliveries
  • Plan and coordinate import flows into the UK from Ukraine and the EU
  • Manage customs clearance processes, including preparing instructions for brokers and ensuring compliance for all shipments (including bonded and frozen stock)
  • Maintain accurate records of import documentation (e.g. T1, CHED-P, CDS) and AGRIM balances
  • Monitor stock levels and perform regular reconciliations
  • Review, verify, and approve invoices from transport, storage, and forwarding service providers
  • Negotiate transport rates and ensure cost-effective logistics solutions
  • Identify and report potential disruptions and support claims handling
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders (brokers, warehouses, logistics providers)
  • Support planning, reporting, and continuous improvement of logistics operations
  • Assist the Logistics Team Lead and Head of Supply Chain with ad hoc tasks
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service
