Technical Skills:

  • Should have managed a large testing team.
  • Experience in manual testing - Waterfall, Agile methodologies, functional and non-functional aspects of testing.
  • Experience in team handling on HTML4 and Javascript related testing, browsers, HTML, CSS, etc.
  • SQL commands.
  • Experience in Test management and defect management tools like ALM, JIRA, RTM, etc.
  • Review technical/functional specifications, design layouts to identify required testing conditions.
  • Review BRD, FSD, RCA, SRS, use cases, WPR of Test plan, Test scenarios, Test cases, TSR, defect report, etc.
  • Understanding of SLAs, security control, test environment setup, handling test data, defect severity and priority classifications standards, test levels, test deliverables, etc.
  • Prepares/updates the metrics dashboard, testing schedules, test milestones reports, DSR/WSRs, etc.
  • Aware of Program/Project Change Management Process, environment and release management, risk definitions, risk register, change/implementation plans, PIVs, risk and issue management process, escalation management.

Process Skills:

  • Experience in developing high-quality test strategies, testing process/controls rollout, test management and defect management, stakeholder, vendor management, resource management.
  • Capable of analysing business requirements, scope, proposed solutions and use cases, estimation of work, visualisation and prioritisation of business scenarios.
  • Capable of identifying test approach/test planning, traceability matrix, develop test schedule(s), perform impact analysis.
  • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
  • Ability to create test summary report, defect reports, excellent WPR capabilities and follow software testing strategy set up by client.
  • Arrange the hardware and software requirements for the environment and test setup.
  • Analyse functional and non-functional requirements associated with business, user processes and workflows.
  • Experience in UAT coordination, supporting UAT plans, execution of production-like test scenarios, test planning, UAT test data, defect management.
  • Assist in the production and review of all test deliverables.
  • Identify key deliverables, manage scope, changes, conflicts, risks and manage stakeholders from different business units, monitor implementation process and post-delivery support.
  • Liaise with teams to plan and coordinate activities like involvement of cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, UAT users, business, environment manager till Go Live.
  • Prepares/updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project, ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
  • Own responsibility for end-to-end product quality including defect management, vendor engagement and escalation for issues discovered during the testing.
  • Liaising with subject matter experts, solution architects and vendors to clarify technical issues and understand inbound and outbound integrations with external parties.
  • Escalate the issues about project requirements (software, hardware, resources) to Project Manager.
  • Organise the status meetings and send the status report (daily, weekly, etc.) to the client.
  • Attend the regular client call and discuss the daily/weekly status with the client.
  • Good understanding of business and cross-departmental cooperation and communication, including knowledge of stakeholder and other external parties/customers.
