We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller with a strong Investment Banking background to support complex data initiatives across trading, risk, settlements, and regulatory reporting. This is a niche, hands-on modelling role (not architecture) for someone who can work closely with business SMEs and technical teams to design robust logical and physical models.

  • Develop logical and physical data models for data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts
  • Work closely with business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable data models
  • Support capital markets data flows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, trade & position data
  • Apply performance considerations and best practices in model design
  • Use leading data modelling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, etc.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of overall data modelling experience
  • 4–5+ years dedicated to logical and physical modelling
  • Strong background in Investment Banking (trading, risk, settlements, collateral, reference data, regulatory reporting)
  • Hands-on experience with modelling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio or similar)
  • Excellent understanding of capital markets products and data flows
  • Strong SQL skills and performance-driven model design
  • Ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, and data lineage
  • Background in regulatory/risk data programmes (BCBS 239, FRTB, MiFID, etc.)
