We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller with a strong Investment Banking background to support complex data initiatives across trading, risk, settlements, and regulatory reporting. This is a niche, hands‑on modelling role (not architecture) for someone who can work closely with business SMEs and technical teams to design robust logical and physical models.
- Develop logical and physical data models for data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts
- Work closely with business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable data models
- Support capital markets data flows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, trade & position data
- Apply performance considerations and best practices in model design
- Use leading data modelling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, etc.
- 7+ years of overall data modelling experience
- 4–5+ years dedicated to logical and physical modelling
- Strong background in Investment Banking (trading, risk, settlements, collateral, reference data, regulatory reporting)
- Hands‑on experience with modelling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio or similar)
- Excellent understanding of capital markets products and data flows
- Strong SQL skills and performance‑driven model design
- Ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with data governance, metadata, and data lineage
- Background in regulatory/risk data programmes (BCBS 239, FRTB, MiFID, etc.)
