Washington Lodge specialises in providing 24-hour nursing dementia care for individuals living with dementia or related conditions, as well as nursing and residential care for older adults with diverse health needs. Each resident receives personalised care tailored to their unique needs and preferences. The qualified nursing teams work closely with residents and their families to create individualised care plans that reflect their strengths, interests, and physical and emotional abilities.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Chef to join our team and enhance the lives of our residents through person-centred care. This role is central to promoting wellbeing, independence, and social interaction within our care setting. To achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of Staff Members. To take management responsibility for a shift as directed.
Key Responsibilities
- To take responsibility for, organising and controlling the efficient and economic production of quality food within the allowed budget, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with Environment Health Office regulations.
Person Specification
- City & Guilds 706 – 1 & 2, or equivalent qualification (achieved or working towards)
- Team player
- Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Ability to work on own initiative
