PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE REQUIRES 5 DAYS PER WEEK ONSITE IN OUR CAMBRIDGE OFFICE

An experienced RF Analog IC design engineer is needed to collaborate with the existing design team on new radio developments for next-generation Voice, Music, IoT, and Automotive products. This role is crucial to enhance our team\’s capabilities to deliver innovative and high-quality designs on schedule to meet our business commitments.

You will work alongside the existing analog design team to develop new BT5 classic and BT5 LE radios for inclusion in future products. Responsibilities also include developing new chip-level interfaces, clock generation circuits, and crystal drivers.

The successful candidate will work within the Analogue/RF group in Cambridge, UK, designing circuits for radio transceivers, including RF, baseband, and PLLs, with a focus on low power design. Responsibilities encompass the entire design process from architecture selection to final delivery. Innovation in techniques to meet evolving circuit requirements is highly valued. Experience leading junior engineers and being a cell design lead is preferred. Collaboration with layout engineers to define floorplans and optimize layout while maintaining performance is essential. Additionally, working with the Radio system team to define system requirements and participating in cell characterization post-fabrication are key aspects of the role.

What We Would Like To See:

  • 5 or more years of industry experience in analogue/RF IC design, with expertise in areas such as ADC, DAC, PLL, VCO, PA, LNA, Mixer, Filter, or crystal oscillators.
  • Strong understanding of analogue/RF circuit fundamentals and proficiency in analogue design and verification.
  • Experience taking designs from specification to production.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
  • Familiarity with wireless standards such as WLAN, BT, EDGE, GSM, LTE.
  • Background in data converter architectures, circuit design, and verification is highly desirable.
  • Track record of delivering circuit designs with minimal supervision.
  • Contributions to developing analogue design flows and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Verilog-AMS, MATLAB, and Python is a plus.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment like spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Passion for analogue circuit design.
  • Enjoyment in working as part of a team developing advanced low power transceiver solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines to meet tight deadlines.
